Bo Hutto was born and raised in Hondo, Texas where he was very involved in 4-H and FFA through showing livestock and competing on various judging teams. These interests ultimately led him to Texas Tech University, where he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in meat science. During his time at Texas Tech, Bo has been very involved in many extracurricular events including various student organizations, assisting with numerous research projects, as well as participating as a member of multiple judging teams. He was also a member of the quiz bowl team, which led him to his first RMC in 2012. Since then, Bo has become even more involved in AMSA by attending the Student Leadership Conference and competing in numerous events at RMC including Taste of RMC, Iron Chef, and ultimately becoming a member of the Student Board of Directors. Bo is currently coaching the 2015 meats judging team at Texas Tech in conjunction with completing his degree. After completing his graduate education Bo plans to pursue a career in the meat industry.
