Morgan Neilson-Pfeiffer is a graduate research and teaching assistant working on her Doctor of Philosophy in Meat Science at Oklahoma State University. She grew up in Colorado on her families commercial sheep operation, and currently lives in Oklahoma with her husband Kelsey on their family farm. She was actively involved in 4-H and FFA showing lambs, steers, and hogs and was also involved in livestock judging. She served as the Colorado state 4-H president in 2009-2010. While working on her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Communication at Oklahoma State University she was a  member of the 2012 Meat Judging team, 2013 Livestock Judging Team, and 2014 National Champion Meat Animal Evaluation Team. She was named an All-American in both Meat and Livestock Judging. She was actively involved on campus serving as an ambassador, academic mentor, and an officer in many campus organizations. Morgan completed internships with Cargill, the United States House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture, and the American Meat Science Association. While obtaining her Master’s she assisted in coaching the 2014 National Champion Meat Judging Team and 2015 National Champion Meat Animal Evaluation Team. She has conducted various consumer studies, is organizing the OSU groups efforts with the National Beef Quality Audit, and working on a grain vs. grass fed study. After completing her Ph.D. she plans to work in the industry.
