The meat industry is concerned that animals for meat consumption, which provide us with the most nutritious well-balanced food available, be treated kindly at all times and not suffer pain.  It is of utmost importance to meat quality and animal welfare that animals for meat consumption be treated properly before, during and immediately after slaughter.
