What do you believe the role of AMSA should be in an evolving meat science community?

Though AMSA has the potential to be many things to many people, what this organization can do more effectively than any other is attract talented young people to the meat industry and foster ongoing development of our members.  Rooted in the scientific foundation of AMSA, this strength goes well beyond just student-centric programming and capitalizes on the network of meat scientists available to mentor young professionals and collaborate together throughout their careers.  This will remain a priority for all segments of the meat industry and AMSA’s ongoing success in this role will benefit the industry as a whole.
