The 2025 AMSA Officer and Director election process has begun!

Nominations are now open, and can be submitted here. Nominations will close on January 29th, 2025. 

Candidate Qualificiations:
  • Active Professional Member of AMSA
  • Director candidates must have been a Professional Member of AMSA for at least 10 years.
  • Per Bylaws: Officers must be Professional Members of the Association and have previously served on the Board of Directors.
  • There must be at least 2 years between the end of a Director term and the beginning of a President-Elect term.
  • Participation in at least five RMC’s and 3 or more committees and activities.

Committee Members

Per the AMSA Bylaws, The Nominations and Elections Committee shall be comprised of the following members (15):

  • Active (current) ‘Past President’ who serves as the Committee Chairperson,
  • The most recent 3 (inactive) Past Presidents,
  • Most recent past Treasurer,
  • Most recent 2 years of past Directors (6),
  • Active (current)  Student Board Past President
  • Positions selected annually for one-year terms by the current Executive Committee:
    • An Emeritus member
    • Two members with less than 10 years of active AMSA Professional Membership

The Nomination Committee chaired by AMSA Past President Tommy Wheeler, will review the nominees and submitted the individuals for the 2025 ballot. The ballot will open for membership voting in April of 2025.
