Marianna Behrends, Ed.D.

Marianna Behrends was hired at AMSA as the Project Coordinator in December 2021. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University, a Master’s degree with teaching certification from Angelo State University, and her doctorate degree from Hardin Simmons University.
Prior to AMSA, Marianna taught junior high and high school science for several years, served as an adjunct faculty member at Angelo State, and worked at different retail meat shops. She also is adjunct faculty at Garden City Community College, teaching Food Science, Meat Science, and Beef Production. Marianna and her husband, Eddie, live in Northeastern New Mexico on the family ranch with their three kids, Leighanna, Christian, and Maebrie.
