Dr. Michael Dikeman has had a long and esteemed career in meat science at Kansas State University teaching, coaching meat judging teams, and conducting research that has had long lasting impact on students' subsequent careers and the livestock and meat industries. He has also been an outstanding member of AMSA, serving as Director and President as well as RMC chair. He also has truly been one of our most outstanding members of the American Meat Science Association. Among the list of ways one can serve and support AMSA, there are few that he hasn’t been an enthusiastic participant. In addition, Dr. Dikeman has trained numerous students who have gone on to make their own significant contributions to the meat and livestock industries, as well as AMSA. 

Continuing the Legacy

Expendable funds from this endowment will support the Program, Communication, and Outreach Fund. Gifts made to this fund will support existing programs such as the AMSA Reciprocal Meat Conference, PORK 101, SALUMI 101, educational webinars, fact sheets, consumer outreach, and the AMSA Internship program, as well as new programs developed in accordance with the Association mission.
