A fundraising drive for establishing a mentor recognition in the name of Donald M. Kinsman, Ph.D. was started in June 2007. Dr. Kinsman was a long-time AMSA member whose work in meat science research and commitment to international opportunities for students set him apart from his peers.

The funds raised from the mentor recognition will be used to endow a grant fund for assisting students with international study projects.
