Gavino Antonio Pericu is a seasoned and distinguished regulatory affairs professional with 20 years’ experience in the food industry. He currently serves as the Global Regulatory Affairs Director at Kerry Group, a position he has held since August 2023. In this role, Gavino leads a global team of regulatory experts on food protection and preservation ingredients, with great focus on innovative solutions for meat, poultry and meat alternatives, amongst many other applications. Prior to this, Gavino was in Danone (Dannon) where in his last role as Global Regulatory Affairs Director at Danone Specialized Nutrition led a team of managers and specialists supporting innovation and product life cycle management of infant formula and medical foods for infants, children, and adults. Gavino’s career began in Italy, where he worked with the trade associations AIIPA and ANCIT (now Unione Italiana Food) in various regulatory and public affairs roles. His extensive experience includes advocacy in European and International trade associations, strategic regulatory support, and the creation of regulatory processes in complex matrixes. Gavino is known for his leadership, strategic insight, and dedication to improving regulatory frameworks.
