AMSA Educational Webinar: Introduction to the USDA Process Verified Program and an Overview of the Audit Process

During this webinar the L&P Program gave an introduction to the USDA Process Verified Program as well as an overview of the audit process.

The American Meat Science Association (AMSA) in partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) will conduct monthly live educational webinars highlighting all the services the Livestock and Poultry Program (L&P) provided to the Meat and Poultry Industry. During this webinar the L&P Program gave an introduction to the USDA Process Verified Program as well as an overview of the audit process.

 

Presenters:

Martin Friesenhahn started career with the USDA in 1984 as an Agricultural Commodity Meat Grader under the Cooperative Education Work Program in Dallas, TX while attending Texas A&M University.  Graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Animal Science and started full-time with the USDA in Dallas, TX as an Agricultural Commodity Meat Grader.

As Chief of the Livestock and Poultry Program’s Audit Services Branch (ASB) within the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Jeff Waite is responsible for developing and administering audit-based programs that facilitate the marketing of livestock, poultry, and agricultural based products.
