Kansas State University Beef Research Unit     

1:00p    - 1:30p      Registration and packet distribution, Cattle information (shrink, etc); KSU Stanley Stout Center; Instructions.  Contestants assemble for instructions for the Market Animal Evaluation Division. 

2:00p  -   4:00p              Market Cattle Evaluation


Sunday, April 2

Weber and Call Hall, Kansas State University             

5:00p   Instructions to contestants of first two teams

Every 15 min.   Teams report to Weber Hall for instructions

6:00p  - End  Oral presentations in various rooms in Weber and Call Halls


Monday, April 3

Kansas State University Livestock Arena

6:30a   Assemble, Instructions, Break into Groups

7:00a -   8:30a   Market Lamb Evaluation


Monday, April 3

KSU Stanley Stout Center

8:45a    Assemble, Instructions, Break into Groups

9:00a -   10:30a    Market Swine Evaluation

10:30a - 12:30a    Lunch Break (On your own)


Monday, April 3

Riley Country Fairgrounds

12:30p  -     1:00p         Contestants will receive packets and break into groups

1:00p   -     4:30p         Breeding Animal Division.

Registration for the National Meat Animal Evaluation Contest:

The registration process will ONLY allow you to pay with a credit card. Please click on the link below and select "register" for the 2017 MAEC.

  • You might be asked to login to your AMSA account. If you need help with your username or password please email Rachel Adams.
  • You will need to supply AMSA the list of your students names, email addresses, and coach(es) names.
  • After selecting the regular registration fee, and entering your team information, select the MAEC  individual fee and continue to the checkout.
  • At checkout, change the number of individual fees to reflect the number of contestants and coaches that will be attending and select Update Cart and proceed with checkout
  • After confirming payment you will receive a confirmation email, this email is your receipt.
