Our Chief Executive Officer is responsible for AMSA business affairs, strategic vision, continuing education, partnership programs, and governance.

Collette Schultz Kaster joined AMSA as the first Chief Executive Officer in 2019. She brings more than 25 years of technical experience in the areas of food safety, quality assurance, and animal welfare and executive roles managing teams across livestock industry companies and organizations. She most recently served as the Executive Director of the Professional Animal Auditor Certification Organization (PAACO). Collette and her husband Dennis live in the Kansas City area with their daughters, Sophie and Sam.
