 Chief Executive Officer: is responsible for AMSA business affairs, strategic vision, continuing education, partnership programs, and governance.

Collette Schultz Kaster joined AMSA as the first Chief Executive Officer in 2019. She brings more than 25 years of technical experience in the areas of food safety, quality assurance, and animal welfare and executive roles managing teams across livestock industry companies and organizations. She most recently served as the Executive Director of the Professional Animal Auditor Certification Organization (PAACO). Collete and her husband Dennis live in the Kansas City area with their daughters, Sophie and Sam. 

 

MabryDeidrea Mabry, M.S.

Chief Operating Officer: scientific and general communications, eNews, RMC technical program, PORK 101, SALUMI 101, Webinars

Deidrea Mabry joined the AMSA staff in 2007 as Program Director, from 2013-2018 she served as the Director of Scientific Communications and Technical Programs and was promoted to Associate Executive Director in 2018. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University and holds degrees in agricultural communications and animal science. Prior to joining AMSA staff she worked for the office of the President at Texas Tech and completed a congressional internship in Washington, D.C. as part of her studies. She and her husband Casey live in Brock, Texas with their daughters Reyse, Avery and Brooklyn.

 

AdamsRachel Adams, M.S.

 Youth Programs Manager: logistics, fundraising and contest arrangements for the intercollegiate meat judging program and the national 4-H meat evaluation and retail identification contest, student membership, scholarships, RMC awards program 

Rachel Adams joined the AMSA staff in January 2015 as the Youth Programs Coordinator. She received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Illinois and her master’s degree in meat science from Iowa State University. Prior to joining AMSA, Rachel worked in research & development at Hormel Foods and also AmeriQual Foods.  Rachel resides in southern Illinois on her family’s farm with her husband Justin and daughter Ava.

Morgan Pfeiffer, Ph.D.

Membership and Marketing Manager: managing member, accounts payable, invoicing, creating promotional and marketing materials for AMSA including web content, meeting information, and newsletter outreach.

Dr. Morgan Pfeiffer is originally from Meeker, Colorado, and currently lives in Oklahoma with her husband, Kelsey, on their family farm, where they raise goats for youth exhibitors and run commercial cows. She received her B.S. in Animal Science and Agricultural Communications and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Meat Science from Oklahoma State University. She has recently worked for the Oklahoma Beef Council as the marketing director and helped to develop content and a marketing plan for their website and social media.
