Purpose of Student Training and Education Programs (STEP)
AMSA STEP events focus on providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the meat industry. This includes learning the latest industry trends and best practices, developing communication and problem-solving skills, and providing attendees with the necessary resources and connections to succeed in our industry. STEP programs aim to foster a mindset of lifelong learning, one where individuals can continue to acquire new knowledge and skills as their careers evolve. With STEP events, we strive to cultivate a sense of community and collaboration among our student members to prepare them for their future in the workforce together.
This experience was unlike any other in the way that it is, and it provided opportunities, knowledge, and connections within the meat science industry.
