Karen Black

Vice President Research and Development

Conagra
Karen Black is the Vice President of R&D, leading the Central R&D function with responsibility for Cost Savings, Portfolio Management, Food and Process Technology, Labeling and Nutrition, and Business Continuity. She brings 28 years of experience in the food industry, with diverse roles spanning Quality, Applications, and R&D. Most recently, she led Food Design and Product Development across the Frozen and Snacking platforms at Conagra. A Nebraska native, Karen holds a degree in Food Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She lives in Omaha, Nebraska, with her husband, Mike, and their two college-aged children, Brandon and Morgan.
