Contest Schedule

Sunday, January 29, 2023- Contest Day!!

  • 5:30am- Group Leaders arrive- Senior Division
  • 5:30am- Senior Division Registration begins at 5:30am-ALL competitors MUST be registered by 6:00am
  • JBS will be providing breakfast for competitors, coaches, and coordinators
  • 6:00am- Brief welcome and instructions, divide into groups, and prepare for the contest
  • 6:50am- Competitors enter the cooler
  • 7:00am- Contest begins- we MUST begin on time
  • 8:00am- A- Division Group Leaders and Teams arrive
  • 8:00am- A- Division Registration begins-All competitors MUST be registered by 8:15am
  • 8:15am- A-Division Group Leaders will be coaches from each community college. 
  • 8:15am- Brief welcome and instructions, divide into groups, and prepare for the contest
  • 9:00am- Competitors enter the cooler
  • Midmorning- Coaches will receive an email with a contest update to project the completion time
  • 2:00-2:30pm- Contest conclude

Following the collegiate contest, the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo will be hosting a youth event so this will limit the amount of time between the conclusion of the contest and the need to set up for the youth event.

 

Banquet Details

  • Banquet Date: Monday, January 30, 2023
  • Banquet Time: 7:30am
  • Banquet Location and Address: Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo; Stage Coach Room, Round Up Inn- The Stage Coach Room is located at the southwest corner of the Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall Building
    • Parking: Teams and guests should park in the paid Orange Lot immediately west of the Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall Building.  There is a $17 parking fee ($25 for buses) for all vehicles that do not have an official Stock Show Parking permit.
    • Coaches will be provided with an official letter from the stock show to be presented at the gate for admission.  This letter will be distributed at the contest during registration.

Registration

All banquet attendees beyond those registered for the contest MUST register to attend the banquet 2 weeks prior to the event.  If they need a special accommodation, please contact Leslie Frenzel to share their needs.  Banquet fees will be $25.00 per additional attendee.
