Gate to Plate (G2P)
Gate to Plate (G2P) is designed to provide students in the program with an exploratory experience in the beef supply chain. During this five-day immersive program students will explore beef production, a beef cattle finishing operation, beef processing, food service, and market tour with industry leaders and members of the participating organizations. Participating organizations include Cargill, Taco Bell, MANNRS, and AMSA. Additionally, students will be introduced to the many internships, post-graduation, and career opportunities within the beef industry.
The program will be held May 19-24th, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas!
If you are interested in participating in the program Sign-up Today! There is no cost to sign-up and if you are selected to attend the program you will complete the registration process. Sign-ups will close on February 7, 2024! The program will be selecting students from universities in MANRRS Region IV, with a focus on 2nd year undergraduate students transitioning to 3rd year. No restrictions on majors, but students selected must have an interest in careers in the beef industry.
Gate to Plate will include the following for individuals selected to attend:
- $25 registration fee
- All meals and transportation during the event
- Lodging in the historic downtown Fort Worth, Texas
The only costs to the attendee are the $25 fee and transportation to the event. You must be able to get yourself to Fort Worth, Texas.
