RMC 2024 Abstract and ePoster Details

The abstract review process is still underway but wanted to share with you some details as you begin thinking about preparing your ePoster presentation for the AMSA RMC 2024 from June 16-19th, 2024.

Poster Submission Deadline: May 28th, 2024 10:59pm CT/11:59pm ET

ePosterboards will host a technical webinar on April 26th at 12PM CT/1PM ET. During the technical webinar we will review the AMSA RMC details including dates and deadlines, how to format your poster, and an overview of the event structure. Student Research Competition

The purpose of the AMSA Student Research ePoster Competition is to encourage students to:

1.    Engage in high quality, sound and pertinent meat and poultry research;
2.    Gain experience in presentation of scientific papers;
3.    Demonstrate poise and mental agility before their peers;
4.    Develop skills in effective communication for dissemination of research information; and
5.    Acquire an appreciation of the role of the Association and its members in advancing the well-being of the meat industry through research.

Deadlines:

  • 04/02/2024 11:59 p.m. Central Daylight Time Call for Abstracts ends– submission system closes
  • 04/02/2024 -  Intent for Research Competitions Due (Undergraduate, M.S. and Ph.D.)
  • 04//26/2024- Webinar: ePoster Layout and Design - 1:00 pm CT
  • 04/30/2024 - Notify Abstract Presenters 1st email
    • This email will state accepted with no changes needed, accepted with minor changes needed or major changes needed and 2nd review required before decision made. 
  • 05/10/2024 - Abstracts with changes from first round review must be submitted.
  • 05/17/2024 - Notify Abstract Presenters 2nd email
    • This email will be sent only to those required to make major revisions letting them know if their abstract was accepted or rejected.
  • 05/22/2024 - Notification of renumbering email sent out
  • 05/28/2024 - ePoster PPT Presentation Due
  • 06/09/2024 - Deadline for all presenters to register for the RMC meeting.
