Megan Miller

Cargill High Plains- High Individual

West Texas A&M University
My name is Megan Miller, I’m from Silver City, New Mexico and I currently attend West Texas A&M University. I came to WT on a judging scholarship to be on the 2023 meats judging team and judge for Dr. Loni Lucherk and Megan Eckhardt. I judged the year prior for Clarendon College and we were fortunate enough to win the national title for the junior college division. Also, I was named the high individual at the national contest at the junior college level. Our team had really great chemistry this year and we grew very close throughout the judging season. We had a rocky start during the spring contest, but we finished the year on a solid note being named the International Champion for meats judging for the first time in West Texas A&M history. I am currently earning my bachelor's degree in Agribusiness and this generous scholarship will help me finish my education here at WT! I am very grateful for everything meat judging has taught me and the endless opportunities within the industry!
