Robert Merkel, Ph.D.

Robert Merkel

A fundraising drive for establishing a mentor recognition fund in the name of Robert Merkel was started in November 2007. Dr. Merkel is a former director of AMSA and posted a long record of distinguished research and teaching accomplishments during his tenure at Kansas State University and Michigan State University.

The funds raised from the mentorship recognition will be used to fund the RMC program of AMSA.

The initial fundraising goal for this mentorship ($15,000) was met in 2009. Additional contributions to the fund are accepted. If you would like to help recognize Dr. Merkel by contributing to the mentor recognition, please make a donation online.
