Steve Campano, Candidate for Mentor Recognition

AMSA is proud to announce the formation of a Mentor Recognition fund in honor of Steve Campano.

Steve Campano has been the epitome of mentorship in our profession by sharing his wealth of knowledge with any and all that would listen. The impact of his knowledge transfer to others has, and will continue to, move the meat science profession forward in so many areas of science and ultimately industry adaption and application. With his unique approach to others, whether they are seasoned professionals or freshly graduated students, allows him to break the most technical information down into understandable knowledge sharable with all. Furthermore, few have shared their financial resources, and that of their employer, to the extent Steve has done. He literally has provided the resources to make many AMSA efforts succeed, often in ways that benefits his competitors as much as his own company.

Specific Purpose of Funds: To fund youth development programs in meat processing.
