Rhonda Miller, Candidate for Mentor Recognition

AMSA is proud to announce the formation of a Mentor Recognition fund in honor of Dr.  Rhonda Miller.

Dr. Rhonda Miller has mentored many undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and junior faculty throughout her career. Under her direction, tutelage, and influence, Dr. Miller has established a legacy of individuals that continue to make an enduring mark on meat science academia and industry. Dr. Miller’s management of trained and consumer sensory panels have generated a greater scientific understanding of consumer satisfaction of pork and beef. She has utilized the sensory panel analysis to expand research impacting the entire food production chain, including identification of pre- and post-harvest factors affecting the palatability and quality of red meat, development of automated grading technology, and using non-meat ingredients to improve meat quality.

Continuing the Legacy

Funds will be used towards the AMSA Innovation fund which underwrites and cultivates initiatives which allow AMSA to reach the largest possible audience.
