Where is the MSABD building located on campus, and where can I find nearby parking?

The Meat Science & Animal Biologics Discovery building is located at 1933 Observatory Drive,      Madison, WI 53706, and nearby parking is available right next-door in Lot 67 (2002 Linden Drive) or     just down the road in Lot 36 (1645 Observatory Drive).

Rates for Lots 67 & 36 are $1 per 30 minutes for the first 3 hours, and $1/hour thereafter. The     maximum rate for the day is $15.

For additional information about parking, please check out this two-page map and the interactive     campus parking map which tracks lot occupancy in real time (just search “Meat Science” in the top left     corner and our building will pop up).

For additional info on recommended hotels, please see the updated list below

Do I need to schedule transportation to and from the airport? Will there be transportation for the  workshops and additional Salumi 101 events?

The DoubleTree by Hilton does provide transportation to and from the local airport (Dane County     Regional Airport / Truax Field), as well as shuttle service to and from the MSABD building during the     workshops. Though we can’t speak for Covid-related shortages, rental cars have been available at Madison’s airport in years past – and Uber, Lyft, cabs, and buses are widely available in Madison as well.
