The 2021 National Meat Animal Evaluation Contest is scheduled on April 25-27, 2021 at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.

9:00 AM - 9:30 AM Registration and packet distribution, Livestock information (shrink, etc.), Rotational assignments and instructions                             



Kansas State University Feedlot or Weber Arena (weather dependent)
11:00 AM  -  7:00 PM         Market Cattle Evaluation


Kansas State University Sheep Unit
11:00 AM  -  7:00 PM         Market Sheep Evaluation


Kansas State University Purebred Beef Unit
11:00 AM  -  7:00 PM         Market Swine Evaluation

Monday, April 26


Kansas State University Sheep Unit, Purebred Beef Unit, and Weber Arena
9:00 AM – 3:30 PM      Breeding Animal Division


Weber and Call Hall, Kansas State University                

5:00 PM                       Instructions to contestants of first two teams
Every 15 min.               Teams report to Weber Hall for instructions
6:15 PM - End              Oral presentations in various rooms in Weber and Call Halls

Registration for the National Meat Animal Evaluation Contest:

The registration process will ONLY allow you to pay with a credit card. Please click on the link below and select "register" for the 2021 MAEC.

  • You might be asked to login to your AMSA account. If you need help with your username or password please email AMSA Staff
  • You will need to supply AMSA the list of your students names, email addresses, and coach(es) names.
  • After selecting the regular registration fee, and entering your team information, select the MAEC  individual fee (left hand checkbox) and continue to the checkout.
  • At checkout, change the number of individual fees to reflect the number of contestants and coaches that will be attending and select Update Cart and proceed with checkout
  • After confirming payment you will receive a confirmation email, this email is your receipt.
  • If you need to be invoiced, please contact AMSA Staff at information@meatscience.org
